Recently, I've been bouncing off ideas with one of our patrons that became a friend, and she and I have been having a pretty good time messing around with script ideas together~ This comic actually ended up being derived from an insight on her part (about what the person behind Bunny must think about all the mewing). It helps that she is playing Persona 5 and is also a part of our raid team in FFXIV, so perhaps more ideas will be springing forth from our friendship~

Speaking of FFXIV, I'm reeeeally getting hyped for next week! Most people would assume that it would be because of the Stormblood launch and, while that is a fair guess and not wrong, most of the excitement has been for the fact that Pie and I are hosting a launch party at our house with some local friends (and one non-local friend who is flying in)! I really love hosting parties and LAN parties/sleepover parties are THE. BEST. PERIOD. Seriously, what could be better than having a party surrounding a new expansion launch where you get to spaz out and indulge on with your friends around? Very little, let me tell you!

Anywho, getting back to the idea of scripting and the comic~ Ever since coming out, there has been a huge relief in being able to admit my struggle, but at the same time, I feel somewhat bad about not being out of the woods yet and producing better stuff and being more available. One of the big things that I have been working on in the background, which has taken up a huge chunk of time and emotional energy, has been preparing for surgery. In doing so though, I've had to undergo a lot of changes to my dietary habits and sustain a regular exercise routine as well as a basic schedule to help improve my mental and physical health to meet my surgeon and therapist's requirements. Honestly, I'm doing fairly well, particularly in the past month or two thanks to said changes, so this is more about maintaining stability and deemphasizing transition stuff.

It's been actually really refreshing slowly getting to this stage, and though I know that there will be times where I fall into that deep pit, I feel like I'm getting better at wielding the tools necessary to cope. The exciting thing for me lately is that coming up with scripts has become easier and I feel that, as we had a few years back, our lives are normalized and consistent. This helps me focus on making better comics, being more critical on what makes the cut, and just having more time to think about and work on the comic as opposed to too many other things.
