"A video game comic and blog that would have been awesome and relevant 10 years ago. Maybe." -Famous Website
So about two months back, Pie and I had experienced a few unexpected visitors creeping around in the middle of the night. It started when I was resting in the living room on the couch and heard a rustling noise in the attic. I knew pretty much immediately what to expect and wasn't too thrilled when I started seeing dark little presents scattered around our kitchen in the following days.
Now, I've lived in this house for nearly 20 years and we've never had a mice infestation, EVER. Our kitchen cupboards were ill equipped to handle the onslaught of rodents, as they were able to throw wild parties from stashed away food we had long since forgotten. I mean, sure I could have thrown out that 10-year old box of stale crackers earlier...but you know...emergency rations, right?
After a few unfruitful attempts at catching them, we were finally able to get rid of them once and for all. How you ask? It was quite simple, really. By waiting it out long enough we eventually ran out of food! And what do you know, the situation magically solved itself! Sure, they formed a little mouse halfway house across the street and started accosting neighbors for handouts, but hey, they aren't OUR problem anymore. Yup, borderline poverty is the way to GO.
Seriously though, I miss eating.
Which brings me to:
If you've been away from the Internet over the last couple weeks and are just seeing the spiffy new ads on our site, be sure to check out the Kickstarter campaign we have going on!
I know I've been plugging this a lot lately, but I have to keep it fresh on everyone's mind because it is very important to us and has a limited run time, now with 24 days to go. Chasing a dream is never an easy pursuit and certainly anything worth chasing is going to be challenging. Pie and I are in an interesting position in that we are both adults who live alone and are taking a lot of risk to do this. But that risk helps keep us hungry for what we want in life; it helps strengthen our resolve and solidify our vision clearly in our minds as to what we want to build in the future for ourselves.
Luckily, we aren't alone. We have our friends, our family, and you, our readers. You all help make this dream a reality. Through your moral support and readership, we've been able to make it this far, and for that we are extremely grateful. But now we need a little bit of good ol' monetary support to keep us going for the long haul.
If we can somehow convince just 5% of you to buy one shirt, we will have more than enough to meet our true goal of $8000. If you can't afford to support us with a purchase or smaller donation (and even if you can), then please consider helping us spread the word to others that might be interested in our shirt designs. Our readership is still pretty modest, so we really need to reach out and ask for your help. We don't know a whole lot of people, so we could really use the help spreading the word! Getting a bit of traction now will really help set the tempo for the New Year and allow us to keep getting better.
Thank you, as always, from the bottom of our hearts. Making Life in Aggro and working hard at becoming good comic artists means the world to us, and we couldn't be able to do it without you! Thank you!!
