Before I get into this Friday's comic, I wanted to offer a big thank you to everyone who showed their support for us by voting in the Kotaku comic contest! I regret to say we didn't win, but hopefully we got the attention of some new readers, which would be really awesome! If nothing else, I think it solidifies in my mind that I want Pie and I to keep growing and getting better. I want Life in Aggro to be consistently funny so as to be compelling and make as many people laugh as possible.

As far as the Breath of Fire comics, this is a sort of sister comic to Wednesday's Of Fairies and Dragons. So...if you haven't read both comics yet, go do so first... I'll wait here, I promise.

Done? If you aren't familiar with Breath of Fire 3 and were wondering what the hell kind of dragon Ryu turned into, it was the adorable Pygmy dragon that can be fused through the dragon gene subsystem in game. It's pretty funny because you end up turning into this adorable little slug dragon, that can't do much more than lick an enemy to death.

I'm amazed we weren't further behind on this comic - I was expecting to have to put up a "sorry, comic is coming on Saturday" post again, but we lucked out. It came together a lot faster than expected, which is a big relief. The last 3 comics have been 5 row endeavors when our goal has been 2-3 row comics twice a week... We were really trying to go for more concise narrative, but at the end of the day, if we feel the story of a comic necessitates the extra frames, we're not going to short change it.

I hope that the last 3 comics shined because of it - I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out, at least. I suppose there will be no set length for LiA; it's just going to be as long as we need it to be, which I suppose fits in line with our publication time of "when it's done" variable-time-of-the-day posting methodology. Oh if only to reach the holy grail of 12:01 am posting time...

Enjoy the comic and have a great weekend all!
