Because of Final Fantasy 14's system giving you the ability to change to any job and having access to all content with a single character (providing that you've met the requirements), there is very little incentive to create an alt character for most players. -something that Cecilia and I've had to get used to after playing so many other MMOs before settling in FF14. Creating and playing characters in MMOs for us wasn't simply controlling a vehicle to experience a game's content, but it's been a way for us to make characters with personalities and affinities in a preconstructed world; I guess "lazy RPing" in a way. XD As our time with FF14 continued to grow, so did our, I guess, lazy-role-playing wanderlust, and the deeper we got into the story, the more we also felt how much we'd like to experience the amazing story(s) over again. Sure you can rewatch cinematics as an option in an in-game inn, but there's still so much that's left out!

A while back, Cecilia and I started alt characters in FF14. There's just something fun about starting over again as a fresh new adventurer with nothing but your empty backpack. XD I know it's the same world that I'm very used to, but because you don't have anything, it kinda shifts the perspective; revisiting areas long forgotten and being reminded of how dangerous some low level situations can actually be, it's like seeing the world with refreshed eyes.~ Another kick I really get out of it too is being forced to wear gear that I wouldn't normally wear, then upgrading to not-so "unfashionable" gear. XD -something that doesn't really happen on my high level character since I often can't help but to exercise my ability to change the appearance of my gear. @_@ -not to say that my outfits are super fashionable. ^^

I'm looking forward to going through the story again. It's a long road ahead to Stormblood, but it will be a welcome one.
