About a month ago, Pie had run into a group of RPers in Final Fantasy XIV and she was ecstatic to be able to participate in their sessions. Being that we like the idea of RPing in a group as a fun creative outlet, it ended up providing her with a great way to get the creative juices flowing...that is assuming you don't just use the stock story as a crutch. I imagine that it would create quite the existential crisis for our characters to find out what Hydaelyn does behind closed doors when we aren't looking >.>

But yes! RPing! I have to admit that it looked fun and I was ever so tempted to join her in game and try and be part of the group, but the idea of getting caught up in trying to figure out when to RP and when not to RP would be troubling. What happens when you want to just hit the vendor and repair and get back to your thing. If you bump into an RP-mate, would you then need to act out every little interaction? I think I would quickly grow tired of it...and I know Pie has shared that sentiment as well after a few days. Apparently they have ways to distinguish when it's "RP time" and when not...but still… I think I don't have the perseverance to do so in an MMO space.

For various reasons, I've been consuming a lot of new media lately, more than I have been in the last several months or more, and it has been extra refreshing! Recently I've gotten into RWBY, The Good Place, Penny Dreadful, The Tick, Fate Apocrypha, various other anime and gotten back into Vikings and Naruto Shippuden. In addition, I watched 3 Idiots (a heartwarming Bollywood film), Brotherhood of the Wolf (a scary/suspenseful French film), Thor Ragnarok, and Thelma (a supernatural suspense Norwegian film).

I feel like I'm getting to calm down a bit about my transition stuff and my life has been changing so I've been more able to relax and enjoy myself in things...our break the other month as well as some relationship developments have been helping me really find a happy space. My life is opening up in interesting new ways and I'm having a wealth of new experiences spurred on by my refreshed interest in exposing myself to new and novel things and media. It feels so good to be in this place because I feel so alive when I am~
