Cecilia and I've been setting some time aside to explore different games over the past couple of weeks, as you guys might have noticed with the Horizon Zero Dawn and Life is Strange comics. =) Two of the major games we've been checking out lately on the side of playing some Final Fantasy 14 has been Legend of Grimrock 2 (a tile based D&D style dungeon crawler) and Hellblade. It's been very refreshing to dip into other titles and to get excited again about games that aren't FF14. Hellblade's a neat game but it's a little on the heavier side of us needing to keep focused concentration due to its combat being a little stressful in later parts. ^^; We kinda need to take a break from it once in awhile.

We're having a huge blast with Legend of Grimrock 2! XD We enjoyed what we played of part 1 a few years back, but wow, they really improved upon what Grimrock 1 was so much! There are quite a number of new looking areas and zones now and so many cool surprises, traps, and secrets! XD Though you don't invest status points manually on character level ups (though, you do choose their base stats when starting out), You are able to allocate skill points which feel like they have real weight. You're really driven to do and find whatever you can to help your team survive till the end; especially since you never know when your party's going to die. =D Sometimes you think you're buff and can take on pretty much whatever's thrown at you in the area without much trouble, then BAM, you run into a crab that was hiding in the dark corner of the dungeon that kills your Minotaur in seven seconds! @_@

We're rather addicted and very excited to progress, solve puzzles, find treasures, and build our characters to be gods against anything they encounter on the island. @u@ It's definitely scratching that exploration itch Cecilia and I've been having for a while. =D
