Of course, with everything that has been going on lately with her family situation, Pie has been a bit more stressed out lately than normal. I'm certain that she has quite a lot to tell you all once she gets back, but I won't steal her thunder and wait for her to fill you in...and not only because I only now bits and pieces of it myself, but also because I need to look thoughtful. Let me have thiiiiis.

Anyways! Pie has always worked very hard on the comic and in her endeavors but she can never seem to escape this perpetual state of fatigue. I pose to her, many times in fact, that this is largely due to the fact that she can't figure out that relaxing is a thing that is generally good for the body. It is one thing to have a lot of drive, but when it's being stifled by an intense need to sleep and eat then results will vary! Probably vary more into the ineffective range!

Despite her trip and me telling her a number of times to please just focus on this as an opportunity to spend time with and be there for family, here unease persists and a looming sense of anxiousness will come rolling in because of her need to produce. A lot of it, I believe, is locked up in trying to make her father proud, that she is doing something with her life that he can approve of. Just like everyone else, we each have our own crosses to bear and even if we want to help carry that weight for another, ultimately it is only they that can obtain freedom from the cross.

She is flying back on Monday evening and has been working on the next comic already, so we should be back next week as well, barring any extreme jet lag / make out sessions. See you then! Thank you for being patient and support as she's gone through this!! <3
