Hearthstone is the kind of game that digs it's fangs in deep if you let it gnaw at your leg for long enough. You may think that it's completely harmless until you realize the euphoric sensation after playing (read: winning) is really just dizziness caused from your profuse blood loss. No matter! Let it wrest away your free time and lose yourself completely to it. Go to the light.

If you've been reading the blog for the last few months, you know we've been taken away by this game. Truth is, we have even more Hearthstone comics written but will save them for later, seeing as how we've been covering it a bit too often lately. Pie and I like to switch it up, and I feel like we've been doing too many mainstream games lately. If only obscure games were a bit easier to write for. Oh well, such is the fun in creating!

I think that a big portion of my interest in it is the fact that it's my first CCG. Leave it to Blizzard to turn me onto a whole genre; they seem to do that often. Heroes of the Storm looks to be the game that will finally break me into MOBAs, despite their reluctance in classifying it as one. Their design philosophy of focusing on quick matches and varied battlefields that add strategic elements to the fights are the most appealing. Pie and I were happy to hear this as these have been areas of contention for us in LoL.
