"A video game comic and blog that would have been awesome and relevant 10 years ago. Maybe." -Famous Website
Hey all, I'm still working on the other posts that I wanted to make for Aura Kingdom, sorry for the extended wait.
Pie and I have been obsessing about it a lot lately, as have a number of our friends, which doesn't help our comic and blog making. I wanted Pie and I to get closer to end game and get more opinions from our friends playing with us to suss out a proper post. For instance, combat difficulty has been called into question depending on which class you're playing, so it may not be quite as easy as I once thought. I also thought party formations were less reliant on the healer-tank-dps trinity, but I feel that may be inaccurate as we progress.
Anyways, I wanted to explore a bit further before writing up a detailed combat post. For now, let me sum up Aura Kingdom the way many people playing it firsthand have: Aura Kingdom - The Game That Does Nothing New.
I think that it is a rather appropriate summation of the game; there really is nothing new about it. So many of the elements have been seen before and yes, done better in other games. The whole reason I wanted to flesh out what Pie and I thought was special about the game was how it incorporated many proven elements to make for a rather enjoyable experience. I will admit too, that we are a bit biased when it comes to having character customization freedom, and I wanted to try to look at it from a place of less bias based on our friends very knowledgeable and astute observations.
Thanks for all your patience guys! <3
