Been flipping back an forth from Gmod Tower (in Garry's Mod), Archeblade, and Infinite Crisis.

Also a little Defiance, War Thunder, and Star Trek Online, but only when folks remind me they exist.

So last week I had the perfect storm of having a break due to a finished rough draft and reading an article on why Saints Row 4 is so freak'n awesome.

All I have to say is Dubstep Gun + Unlimited Special Weapon Ammo = :D
Epic , brah!

I've just bought Final Fantasy 14, but I haven't had any time yet. Thankfully, the "free" first month shouldn't start until I actually create and activate my account, so I can wait.

In the meantime, I've been playing Alan Wake, and it's both good and ehh at the same time. The story is intriguing, as is the environment, but sometimes it feels so sloggy and repetitive. That said, I did just get past a part where I had to fight a possessed bulldozer with a flashlight, so there's that.

I also found out OBS can record gameplay footage to the hard drive, so I've been figuring out how to use it. No idea what kind of videos I could make (no I can't Let's Play and probably will never try) and I'll need to pick up an editor that isn't Windows Movie Maker (JESUS, the only thing that's good for is pasting whole video clips and rerendering them into different formats; attempting to do any kind of actual editing with it is a special kind of hell), but hey, gameplay footage recording.

Been playing GTA V since it came out. This is my first GTA (always been a Saint's Row guy since it came to Playstation, and I still am. It is quite a bit of fun, though I haven't delved past the Story and Stranger and Freak missions. I'm sure golf, tennis, races, yoga and whatever else I haven't seen yet is fun too, but I'll save those for my online character to do.

Speaking of online, anyone else playing this game on Playstation and need another member for their crew?

Well I beat the original Shantae on GBC...well, downloaded on the 3DS anyway. Apparently there's some extra content if you put the GBC one in a GBA, but since the cartridge goes for big bucks I'll just settle for the downloaded one without the GBA extras. I had played the Risky's Revenge one and wanted to complete the series before the new one comes out (and I had tossed some money at the Kickstarter as well).

Next...as usual, when my wife and I get RIGHT near the end of a Tales game, we set it down. No idea why. Usually it's because we're debating on whether or not we want to do the crazy extra end-game stuff or just get right to the final boss (or build up Grade). So we're SOOO close to beating Tales of Xillia. Maybe.

...reason why I wana get it done, is because we're crazy and got into Skylanders: Swap Force! Because it exists now and HEY we're magnets for collectables. We haven't even beaten the first game yet and never even touched Giants (even though we have all the figures). So, I wana get past Xillia so we can finally beat Skylanders and move on to the next so we can move on to the NEXT NEXT. In that vein, I'm running through the last bits of the 3DS version. Every time I play it I wonder why I set it down, because it's FUN! Surprisingly so. Once that is finished, perhaps I'll get back to Ocarina of Time....

Since Halloween is just around the corner, Pie and I decided to play Costume Quest since it came with the Double Fine Humble Bundle. It was really great! I didn't realize it was an RPG until we played it; in actuality I knew almost nothing about it other than you played kids on Halloween. I think we finished the main story in about 10 hours and haven't gotten around to playing Grubbins on Ice yet. The battles were simple but fun and the whole game carried this sort of Earthboud light-heartedness to it, which made it very endearing.

We played through Walking Dead in the course of about 2 days as well; it was really quite engrossing. Many people have said it before, but the attachment to Clementine is really strong and all the characters are very well developed and it's made me sorta curious to check out the TV series now. Either way, I am really looking forward to checking out The Wolf Among Us now...one day...one day.

Other than Pokemon Y, I've also been putting some serious time into FE: Awakening FINALLY. I'm 25 hours in or so, but only up to Chapter 10 / Paralogue 3. Classic mode has already made me restart long battles from the loss of characters...it really keeps the edge up, but has felt rewarding at the same time. I think on a second play through, I would play classic and play with permadeath rules to see how the story changes.

Picked up Long Live The Queen on steam. It is quite a nice little Princess murder simulator.

I always like to see games where there are actually multiple ways to succeed in your journey, and this game is pretty good at it. Sure, there are points where you'll fail if you don't have the right skill trained, but nothing unskippable and life threatening will rest on One skill.

Dat chocolate, tho. Scary.

Oh hey there.

My latest game purchase was Agarest for PC. It's interesting, but the DLCs annoy me. I turned them all off when I started so my first gameplay experience could be free of ridiculously OP items, but you can only turn off DLC that has already been released, and new DLC will give you the OP items mid-game! I'm thinking I'll shelf it until the DLCs stop flowing in. As much fun as it is massively overkilling enemies, yeah. It get boring when it happens every hit and the game has no challenge.

I'm always playing Minecraft, although my poor PC can't handle it anymore and I ragequit because of how stuttery it is. :< Usually I'm off playing console games (Rune Factory's my latest less-new gaming binge).
