On the subject of CHECK EVERYTHING: I remember back in the day when my friend was introducing me to more RPGs (once Final Fantasy 7 and Mario RPG showed me what they were) and he was annoyed that I checked everything. He was like "How do you even get through the game like this?" YOU NEVER KNOW MAN. I've found really powerful swords randomly next to king's thrones with little to no evidence of there being a reason to check.

Nowadays I kinda hate it when I check a random dresser and I find something. 'Cause then all bets are off - I have to check EVERYTHING. Back in the day it was exciting, but now it's just a time consuming runabout while I rummage through the belongings of the world's inhabitants.

I'd like to play the first witcher, but I couldn't get it to work with windows 7. I suppose I could try the steam release, but then I'd still have to make sure my computer can handle it. I have 2 on the 360, and have played a bit of it. I really need to get back to that at some point because it was pretty cool.

I've always wanted to try out The Witcher but my computer would probably chuck a wobbly at even the smell of the game.

Also on the subject of CHECK EVERYTHING can I just mention the filling cabinets in Fallout 3 and New Vegas

My old computer could run the first one, but it ran really slow. That made the combat unbearable, but even at full speed, I don't think I'd like it very much.
