Mathelvania

Postby Adol The Red » Sat May 05, 2012 12:21 pm

Oh man. That is freaking priceless. Medusa heads using graph formulas to chart their trajectories. I don't know why, but its hilarious. Though it seems even they still have to be wary of all the spinnnig clocktower gears.

Man... its kind of amazing just how annoying Medusa heads can be sometimes. I mean, they should be easily dodgable, but with so much going on in a clocktower level their simple pattern can be so deadly. Especially of course the ones that turn you to stone. The next time I play a Castlevania game I'm going to think of this comic and probably start laughing when I see them.
Epic , brah!

Well! I am really happy you liked this comic Adol. To be honest, I wanted to scrap it completely; I got a chuckle out of it, but....I dunno. I just felt like we could do better. We were late in posting this too because we were trying to script up something better so we could do it instead. Pie liked the idea enough though (she still laughs at it) and we ran out of time but I'm glad at least someone found it funny.

Oh well, that's the great thing about a gag comic, we get to start over each week~

Also! Yes!! Medusa heads man...so annoying and yet such a simple pattern. They are easily the most annoying enemy in the game, even more so than flea men. ESPECIALLY in the old games where dropping off the gear meant death, not like the SOTN style games where they are more of an inconvenience than anything else.

I laughed as well, I think it's great xD

Especially the snakes on the rebellious teen medusa head. I mean, who else would have though to give the snakes little sunglasses but you guys? Just brilliant :D

I really enjoyed it. Brought me back to the good ol' days in Trig. The shades on the snakehawk were great, as well as the snake tattoo, because as a Medusa head you can never have too many snakes!

Huh. Yeah, I have to say I'm surprised to see you guys like it.

Like I said, I was seriously considering axing this one; I don't want to feel like settling for a comic idea just because it was okay, so a lot of times if I feel a script isn't quite there, I'll keep working on it. I think a lot of comics end up benefiting from me being unsatisfied with just being okay. But, yeah, Pie was laughing still, so I had to just trust that it would be okay, even if I felt it could be better.

So apparently like...quite a few people like this comic? Like...way more than I imagined would?! For the first time ever we're winning in a Joystiq poll and so I thought I would throw it up on Kotaku for the hell of it and a number of people like it?

When I went to bed after this comic, I was really unsatisfied. Like...I kept feeling this unease, the comic and blog entry should be so much better. Or something. Wai...

HYUUUURK

OH! I get it now. My body was rejecting the success. This makes sense.

Carry on people.
