This community wouldn't be around if it weren't for you and Pie, so give yourself some credit Bear. I do agree though, this community is very friendly and understanding, something which can't be said for a lot of the internet communities out there. That's the reason that I decided to join.

We have to be accepting and forgiving. Just this week one of our own attempted to defect to his woodland roots and was rejected by his kind!

More seriously though, along with what Fixxer said I think that the community is the way it is because that's how you and Pie fostered and nurtured it to be.

I was looking for a good forum to be a part of for a long time. I don't do much social networking, but it's nice to have some people to talk to and share things with from time to time. I loved this place from the start (the last forum I was on was Gundam.com), and a huge part of that is the community here. I try to think about the things I say for the very reasons Bear mentioned, though sometimes I later wonder if I should have worded things differently. I try to be clear in my meanings and very forward that though I'm strong in my opinions on certain things I don't expect anyone else to live by them.

And I agree that Bear and Pie deserve a lot of credit for how smoothly this place runs. I can say I've noticed numerous times, when we're speaking on a topic we all feel strongly about, one of them will eventually submit a well thought out and multi-faceted post that I think helps to keep our thoughts open when. I also think that having to wait for a response before being able to join helps a little. If you don't really want to be here, then you probably won't wait, even if it's not that long.

It's so nice to be in a place that runs so smoothly.
