Hi fellow LiA lovers!

My name is chrisb and I randomly stumbled across Aggro and fell in love with it. I've been a fan only a couple of months, but I look forward to the comic every week.

I'm a 22 year old nursing student (schedule keeps me from being super active online, but I'll try!) I'm on spring break and trying to get as much entertainment and relaxation in as I can. I'm from Texas (don't worry we aren't as bad as everyone makes us out to be) and I'm into anime (favorites are weird and emotional ones such as Utena,) movies (fave is The Elephant Man,) music (I love electropop,) and of course video games (favorites include Breath of Fire 5, Bayonetta, Madworld, D2, and Baten Kaitos.)

I've been lurking a good while and finally decided to join after I saw how awesome everyone was. I look forward to getting to know you all.

You know, I see the stereotype about Texan people more often than I care to online. I don't get it; I guess it stems from politics/politicians, but I hardly think that qualifies as a proper gauge for how people are. I've met a number of cool Texans and have been in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for work - a small town called Frisco to be precise; a lot of the people I met were really pleasant.

I have a hard time thinking of anime to recommend that is both emotional and weird. Pie seems to think Negima might be worth looking at (thought we haven't seen it) and perhaps Paranoia Agent might be worth a look; actually other Satoshi Kon works like Millennium Actress and Paprika might be good to look into as well =)

I haven't seen much of the Negima anime for a long time, but I remember what I saw long ago kinda reminded me of Utena in ways. I think the Manga is really awesome and got about 11 books in (I think), but I'm pretty sure the anime is rather different. =/

Yes Yes, Satoshi Kon stuff that Bear mentioned are must to check out I say! XD I love his stuff!

Regional Stereotypes- always reminds me of what I heard when I was young that in some places, it is thought that Californians surf to each others' houses. XD fun~

Welcome! I was actually born in Texas but we moved to California so I'm really more from there. It is true that we surf to each others houses.

I could suggest tons of anime if I weren't at work and mind elsewhere. Breath of Fire 5 as in Dragon Quarter? Did you actually beat it? That game is crazy hard but there's a lot I like about it...BoF3 is easily my fav of the series. I wish they'd make a new one x.x

Anyway one of the shipments is pulling in TWO HOURS EARLY WTF so I have to cut this short >.>

It seems as though the rest of the US has Spring Break way earlier than here. I can say that I'm glad to have finally graduated from College, so much work for a piece of paper haha. That's great to be going into nursing; I don't think I'd be able to do it. I've never even had blood drawn or an IV!

Since we're on the topic of stereotypes I figured I should let everyone know that Roll and I live in a casino. He no longer surfs from house to house.
