I basically missed out on that whole first era of games consoles, I really only had the family computer until we got the original Xbox. I had no idea that Nintendo did a redesign of the NES.

I do the impossible, like skiing through a revolving door.

Very Awesome Alex!! I wanted to get one of those ages ago too when they first came out, and like you I just never had the chance. @_@ Thanks for the history lesson. I was always curious about why the American design was changed so drastically, though I think I remember thinking about Nintendo being similar to a VCR. o_< What you say makes sense. =) I think it's a shame though that the looks like it does when the looks so much better (in my opinion ^^;); The SFC even has those awesomely colored buttons on the controllers!

Lost Odyssey is so frustrating. It has several moments of beauty sprinkled throughout and then has long stretched of boring stuff. Even with its issues the game still captures the feelings of familial love better than any game ever has. The voice acting is the best too.

Got my 3DS so I've been playing some stuff on there. Scribblenauts is of course fun. Code of Princess is deeper than I expected. Each of the four characters I have so far fights in a unique way, but the list of moves isn't so extensive that you can't remember them when switching characters. If you like beat'n on stuff then I'd recommend at least checking it out.

Then I downloaded Cave Story. I think the version I have they call Cave Story+, and any other games have sort of taken a back seat. I've wanted to play this since Alexx showed it to me, but my skill with games like this has never been the best. So I've started with easy mode, and I feel like I could handle it on normal, so long as I don't unlock the best ending path. I've onlocked the extra final dungeon on easy, but have only made it so far as the dungeon's mid-boss. There's really no game quite like Cave Story, and I love it as much as I hoped I would. It's also a testament to the kind of emotional impact you can have in a game with limited graphics. All around great game, but I'm sure I'm preaching to the quire on this one.

Was over hyping myself for Marvel Heroes and somehow ending up playing Marvel Super Hero Squad. Pretty fun, but there is a heavy micro transaction attack if you have more than one favorite Marvel Hero (which I do /swt2 )

Also, The Showdown Effect. You all should download the demo of that and see if you want to play that with me. It's freaking rad, yo. /no1

So I've been on this writing kick for at least a month, maybe two, and games have fallen by the wayside. I'm fine with that because I'd rather write than sleep most of the time. Then my friend Simon brought Bioshock Infinite over to our usual Saturday thing. Well, okay, he brought it over the week before and tried to play it in Alexx's 360, but the XBox got pissed at being asked to do something crazy like play a game. It's great fun watching them trying to get that thing to work. Anyway, Simon brought his 360 next time and showed some stuff.

And of course, I got hit by "Damn it, now I have to buy this."

I haven't played Bioshock one or two, which I plan to rectify at some point, so I can't compare it. It is awesome, though. Very awesome. They really know how to build an atmosphere in a game. Actually I think I'm more impressed with the atmosphere, setting, and characters than I am with the gameplay. That is no knock against the play, I think I'm just getting tire of "keep fighting enemies here till they're gone." It's still fun though, with a good assortment of weapons and powers, and they introduce stuff at a nice pace. Anyway, it's awesome. Played it a ton on Sunday, and I'm trying to keep it to a Sunday thing so I can keep write'n. Still, quite fun.

Played a bit of BioShock Infinite. Is quite awesome, but for some reason I just wasn't in the mood.

Then Defiance came out, and I am playing the crap out of that. Playing PC, and while it is a bit buggy and console optimization is kinda' ****ing annoying, I really love this game. Can't wait for the show.

Nice Adol! I've been really interested in playing Infinite. Pie and I were playing Bioshock 1 together a couple months ago and we were really enjoying it, then we got a new infusion of games and have had out attention split elsewhere.

Lately, we've been playing Borderlands 2 on the 360 together since it was on sale at Best Buy a while back and our Zelda playing has been put on hold. We've been having a lot of fun with that and it's great to see Pie play one of her first FPSes since the only other real game similar to it she has experience with is Metroid Prime.

Pie has been playing Maya and I've been playing Salvador and we just beat Captain Flynt yesterday morning. Good stuff. I love the style of the game so much; it oozes it from every pore and really rekindles my love for a good FPS. I'd rather play on the computer for FPSes but I don't like being at the desk all the time and in actuality the 360 controller is awesome for them.
