Tricks Are For Kids

Another week, another Terraria themed comic. We were going to stay away from Terraria this week because I'm not a big fan of doing back-to-back comics on the same game/theme. Especially with as high as the bar was set with Magically Delicious.

That said, I laughed a lot harder on working on this one than Magically Delicious. I always have it in the back of my mind that, well, if I laughed harder at this concept, people will definitely find the first one funnier. I feel like my sense of humor is out of whack with most people haha

I tend to think that when we take a game concept and use some creative freedom to craft a small story out of it by doing something that clearly is NOT in game, people will have a general WTF? reaction. Of course I tend to over-analyze it after the fact, which is why commentary like this stays solely in the forum and not get posted to the site haha. I try to never second guess myself while we make the comic though because that tends to lead into over-writing or taking out the humor with some edit you do after the joke is no longer funny (because seeing it 50 times while working on it is a sure way to kill the joke for you).

Maybe it'd be different if I had played the game, but as it is I still have to get my laptop fixed first, but I liked the first one better =X The first one was still really funny out if context, and though this one was still cute and enjoyable, I didn't laugh out loud like I did with the first one.

I'll be able to play by next month if not sooner...I haven't been without Internet for this long in a while, if it weren't for my phone I'd be going crazy =P

Having played the game for like only 2 minutes, I had to look at your blog thingy to see where this came from, but you guys do comics about things I've never heard of before all the time, so I didn't mind.

That being said, I think I laughed at this one more than the first, but I've kinda' got a soft spot for adorable bunnies, so my opinion is a bit biased. When they turn into adorable little killing machines... well, even better, I guess :D

I see the evil bunnies as red versions of the rabbit monster from Monty Python.

I do the impossible, like skiing through a revolving door.

I loved when bunnies were introduced into this game.

I cried when I had my first bloodmoon with them and they all attacked me.

And, of course, that darn Guide had to open the door to let them all in /grr

Great comic, it captures perfectly that initial moment of "OMG, BUNNIEESS!!! :3" and that sudden realization that they were just another entity of ruthless evil, simply waiting for the right time to strike xD

I think one of those bunnies ran in front of my car and almost made me crash tonight. o_o

Should I be afraid?

Yes, Tehwilburforce, you should be very afraid. You might also want to flush any goldfish you have down the toilet.

I've always wanted to know what happens in this game if you wear a fishbowl during a bloodmoon....
