No you're not a hardass Wilbur, I agree with you. Though I think it's a funny read, as a real life situation, I don't think I'd like him and would actually be pretty irritated.

He does do it to people who deserve it too. Mostly people who write hatemail to him and are what I'd call "Internet badass".

One guy insulted the entire Adelaide city and claimed he had homes in multiple countries and could call for 'an accident' . Thorne treated him like an old friend.
