Youtube Caching

It used to be that whenever I wanted to watch something on YT, if it was long or if I wanted to watch it in High-Def, I would open up a new tab or go wander away from the computer until it have finished caching the whole video.

Now when I try to do that, it will never cache more than a portion of the video. I didn't used to have that issue before and, being paranoid, can't help to think it is my new net connection, which seems less responsive then my old (supposedly slower) connection.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this with Youtube lately?

Not quite. What happens to me is that the video will load at a nice speed and will suddenly almost stop loading towards the end or randomly in the middle. Which means that I either have to reload the video or wait for ever for some to load and then stop and do the same thing. Sometimes this is caused by my internet cutting out but sometimes it isn't an I have no idea what causes it.

Well yes it does happen to me, but that is my connection, which should be really good but because there's so many people on it, it will constantly cut out on me. I live in a student village in Ireland though, so its nothing new really.

Yep, things like this happen to me now and then.

What's funny is that my computer has been a lot better about it recently... Maybe we traded? xD
