Given the (totally not mutually exclusive but let's go with it) choice between a female Link and a playable Zelda though, I'd actually pick the playable Zelda. There's a lot I think they can do with that, making Zelda play completely differently than a Link-led adventure.
But, they made Link like they always do and that's fine... at least until I read about that interview Aonuma had with Gamespot where he said something to the effect of "If we had Zelda as the main playable character, then what would we make Link do?" Which made my left eyebrow rise so high I broke my face. Like, they could make Link do literally anything. Anything!
